dear baby. post 6.

*these are letters I wrote to our baby before he was born. we did not find out he was a boy until he was born. some of these letters are well over a year old but that doesn't make the words any less true.

dear baby,

good news, we got a new car and are one step closer to being prepared for you to come. we bought a brand new black subaru outback and we are thrilled about it. we feel good about being able to bring you home in a safe and reliable car.

this past monday was mothers day and even though i am not a mother yet, your daddy made me feel special. he got me a pregnancy pillow that i don’t need quite yet, but it will be great to have when i get a little bigger. he also got me a book that i am very excited to read. i need to start preparing myself now for your big arrival! it is going to come very quickly.

i have been feeling a little less sick this week, but there are times when i still feel incredibly sick but i take that as a good sign that you are growing like you should. i am still not showing at all and all of my clothes are starting to get very tight is some places, mostly around my waist, but are getting very loose on my legs. i have lost a bit of weight over the past few weeks but i am sure i will start gaining it all back very soon.

summer is upon us and we are excited to be able to go on some little weekend trips and enjoy the sunshine. i plan on spending a lot of time as seven peaks as long as i have an umbrella, a lot of sunscreen, and a very large cup of ice water.

see you and hear you in a couple of weeks, little one.
