dear baby. post 4.

*these are letters I wrote to our baby before he was born. we did not find out he was a boy until he was born. some of these letters are well over a year old but that doesn't make the words any less true.

April 28, 2013

dear baby,

this past week was very exciting for us. i had my first doctors appt. and although i didn’t see a midwife, it was exciting to go and get things started. i have my first appt with a midwife on may 8. at that appt, we will hear your little heartbeat! i can’t wait! your due date was confirmed at my appt. nov. 27, 2013. the day after your dads birthday. i know that you and him already have a very special bond and that bond will get even closer with your birthdays so close.

your daddy graduated from byu this week. it was a very exciting day. he has worked so hard and i am so proud of him. we had a big party for him on saturday and it was such a beautiful and exciting day. he is such a hard worker and i know that he will take very good care of us.

we are traveling to texas this week. it will be our first trip of the year and we are very excited to be able to go see our family and friends. we have been very blessed with great friends and an amazing family and we are so excited to bring you into it. you are one lucky baby. one of my best friends, jessica, will have a little one just a few weeks older than you. i hope that you and her babe can be great friends throughout your lives. good friends are the greatest.

only two weeks til we get to hear your heart, little one. i can’t wait for that day.
