dear baby. post 17.

dear baby,

yesterday we had another dr. appt. everything went really well and we were able to hear your sweet little heartbeat. i will never get tired of hearing that sound. it is almost as good as feeling you move around. but i’ll gladly take both whenever i can. the midwife didn’t tell us your heart rate because there are myths that the speed of your heart rate will tell if you are a girl or a boy and we don’t want to be finding that out quite yet.

we are officially 6 months along, little one. only three more months til you will be here! i can’t believe how fast time is going! it is so exciting to think about all the fun we are going to have. your daddy told me today that he is excited for the days that he gets to spend all day with you. it melted my heart a little bit. he loves you so much. we feel so lucky that we get to be your parents.

i bought your first little outfit yesterday. i got a few onesies and an adorable little fuzzy suit to put you in when we bring you home from the hospital. it is so tiny but i know that it is probably going to be huge on you. it is exciting to be buying little things for you and actually getting ready for you to join us. we have a lot to do to get ready but we’ve got plenty of time. just no coming early. especially this early. you’ve got lots of growing to do over the next few months.

it is our three year anniversary this weekend. we are going to stay at the fanciest hotel in salt lake city, the grand america. your dad likes to spoil me and i can only imagine how he will spoil you once you are here. this will be our last anniversary with just the two of us. our lives are going to change a lot once you arrive, but we know that they are definitely changing for the better.
