dear baby. post 3.

*these are letters I wrote to our baby before he was born. we did not find out he was a boy until he was born. some of these letters are well over a year old but that doesn't make the words any less true.

April 21, 2013

dear baby,

this week was so much better than last week. i was able to get some nausea medicine and it has helped me so much. i have felt so much better and have been able to function fairly normally. i only threw up one time and i was really happy about that. i have been getting a little bit more sleepy during the day but i know that it’s a sign that you are growing strong and that makes me happy.

it was your dad’s last week of school and he has been very busy finishing up all of his last minute assignments. he is such a hard worker and i am so proud of him. the past year has been very long for him but graduation is this week and we could not be happier. he is going to be such a good daddy to you and i know that he already loves you so much.

we have told a few more of our family and friends about your impending arrival. of course, everyone is thrilled for us and they can’t wait to meet you, sweet babe. we haven’t made the official announcement yet but i am making an appointment to meet with the midwife this week. i am very excited and can’t wait to hear your little heart beat.

your sweet cousin kree passed away this weekend. she was still in her mama’s belly and just 24 weeks old. not much older than you, little one. it is a very sad time and we are so sad we never got to meet little kree but we know that we will all be with kree again someday. i am sure you and her were best of friends up in heaven. we love her, her mama, daddy, and big brother and we know that kree will be taken care of by your great grandma vera until she can be with us again.

this next week will be a busy one as we get ready to go to my first appointment and as we prepare for your daddy’s graduation from byu. see you soon, little one.
